DAILY READINGS: Exodus 23:10-33; Psalms 66:1-67:7; Acts 13:1-25

What is your beloved more than another beloved? Song 5:9, NKJV
My beloved is…Chief among ten thousand. Song 5:10, NKJV
Yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend. Song of Solomon 5:16, NKJV

The maiden’s description of her beloved is also the description of our Beloved, the Lord Jesus. He is the incomparable One. No words can adequately portray or describe His beauty. He is unmatched in every way; from the crown of His head to His feet, and we are forced to exclaim from the depths of our souls that, “Yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend.” As we worship the Saviour, may this be the expression of our hearts. —Jim Comte

Altogether lovely, He is altogether lovely,
And the fairest of ten thousand, this wonderful Friend divine. —Wendell P. Loveless
