DAILY?READINGS: 2 Samuel 21; Jeremiah 5; Galatians 6

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Psalm 147:5
…there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28

How often in frustration, despair, or grief, we exclaim, “You don’t understand! No one understands!” While it is true that human comfort, although appreciated, is limited, our loving heavenly Father’s understanding is unsearchable and beyond measure. Our Lord Jesus was a “man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief” (Isa. 53:3). He can sympathize and understand everything we’re going through, because He has been there (Heb. 4:15). —E. V.

O yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares.
