There comes a time when the Christian realizes that to be part of God’s family is all that really matters. The highs and lows of life pass away and are not a sufficient anchor for the soul. But a heart submitted to God, content in His place of choosing (though not always ours) enjoys a peace and serenity others can see. What testimony is a Christian who is caught up in the affairs of this world, bemoaning losses and unfulfilled desires? Dwell in the confidence that God is your portion! Make dwelling in Him your one heart’s desire. —Deborah Manera
