DAILY?READINGS: 1 Kings 4-5; Jeremiah 12; Ephesians 5:1-21

And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. Luke 3:14
Having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1 Timothy 6:8

Most people in the world today aren’t content with what they have. They are continually demanding more! Yet the Lord tells us that life is defined by more than food and raiment. He then turns our eyes to the birds and asks us to see with new eyes how our heavenly Father cares for them (Matt. 6:25-26). How much more will He care for us. So therefore, “Let your conversation [life] be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Heb. 13:5). —Ken Gunnell
