To love His appearing is the exact opposite of “ashamed…at his coming” (1 John 2:28). To love His appearing is to seek His presence and be in His Word daily, setting our affections on things above. Nor would we be found in any place not becoming a Christian. Our speech will be with grace seasoned with salt, waiting and watching for our blessed Lord. —Edith MacLelland
