And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. Acts 18:24

The Bible describes Apollos as one who was mighty in God’s Word. This should also be our desire. A growing knowledge of the Bible deepens our relationship with Christ. It spurs us to effectively serve Him and share the gospel with others. Obeying His Word empowers us for godly living. Accurately applying His Word brings wisdom for decision making. The Bible stands every test we give it, for its Author is divine;
By grace alone I expect to live it, and to prove it and make it mine. —Haldor Lillenas
