DAILY READINGS: Deut. 23:9-24:22; Jonah 1:1-2:10; Luke 12:41-59

For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and we know our iniquities: Isaiah 59:12

This will be the language of all who stand before God’s judgment. The dead will be judged according to their works. Unsaved
friend, then you will weep as you see your transgressions. Then your sins will testify against you. You did not trust in the  Lamb of God as your sin-bearer. Therefore your sins will still be on you. On that terrible day you will fully know them and you will know God’s wrath when you could have known His love. Delay no longer. Trust Him now! —Carl Knott

What will you do without Him, when He hath shut the door, And you
are left outside because you would not come before? —F. R. Havergal

Who gave himself for our sins. Galatians 1:4

I had arrived early for a speaking engagement in south London and so went for a stroll. To my joy there was a huge poster by the main road with the following message: “Happy Easter, Jesus Loves You, He gave all of Himself for all of you.” I have no idea who placed that advertisement but everyone who passed by could see it. It is the wonderful message of the One who loved us and gave Himself for us that we might be saved from sin and its consequences. May we proclaim that glorious truth. —Paul Young

My song is love unknown, my Saviour’s love to me;
Love to the loveless shown, that they might lovely be. —Samuel Crossman
