DAILY READINGS: 2 Kings 17:1-41; Jeremiah 51:1-24; 1 Timothy 1:1-20

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day… 2 Timothy 4:8

An article in the London Daily News in 1903 reported that after hearing a Dean in the Church of England preach on Christ’s return, Queen Victoria remarked, “O how I wish the Lord might come during my  lifetime…I should so love to lay my crown at His feet.” Many humble believers, who are also royal priests, want to give any future rewards for earthly service back to the Lord.
