DAILY READINGS: 1 Chron. 22:1-23:32; Ezekiel 20:45-21:32; John 7:31-8:11

They came…that they might see Lazarus also, whom He had raised from the dead…By reason of him many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus. John 12:9, 11
He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. John 11:25

What more could He do to make you believe? What more would make you want to trust Jesus than to know He could give life to a dead man? Do you want to live after you die? He’s the one to believe in. He takes spiritually dead people like you and me and gives us an eternal life guarantee. —Ken Gross

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
Neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. —Alfred Gibbs

DAILY READINGS: 1 Chron. 22-23; Ezek. 20:45-21:32; John 7:31-8:11

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19, KJV

This is the commendation:—”But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, KJV). No cause could be found in us that He should love us; He loved us, because God is love. But “men loved darkness rather than light.” This is the condemnation. When there is every reason why men should love God, and hate their sin; yet men hate God and love their sin, because their deeds are evil. It is only a proper appreciation of the love of God that will cause us to love Him and hate our sin. —E. Van Ryn

That Thou couldst be a God to me and be the God Thou art, Is darkness
to my intellect, but sunshine to my heart. —Author Unknown
