Leviticus 15:1-33; Psalm 119:73-112; Mark 5:21-43

Blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Mark 10:46-47, NKJV

Bartimaeus was told to be quiet, but he continued to call out to the Lord Jesus, the only One who could heal him. The Lord beckoned those nearby to call the blind man, which they did, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you” (v. 49, nkjv). Wherever there is a seeking sinner there will be a seeking Saviour, and those near to Christ have the joy of urging those being called to come and see. —W. A. H.

Oh! that all the blind but knew Him, and would be advised by me!
Surely would they hasten to Him, He would cause them all to see. —J. Newton
