DAILY READINGS: 1 Samuel 30-31; Micah 1-2; Romans 9:1-29
Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. John 11:3
These sisters sought the Lord in their time of trouble. This was the best thing that they could have done. When trouble comes, and it surely will, it will do one of two things to us. It will either draw us to the Lord for strength, or it will turn us against Him and make us bitter. It will either soften us or harden us! It softened Jonah. It hardened Pharaoh. It depends on our individual will as to what it will do to us! Are you facing trouble today? How will it affect you? —Jim Pizzulli

'Tis the grandest theme that the world e'er sung,
Our God is able to deliver thee. —W. A. Ogden
