DAILY READINGS: Esther 1; Zechariah 11; Revelation 18

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. John 3:16

He was a Maori brother who stood by the side of his son’s open
coffin and began speaking with deep sadness in his voice. “Some
years ago,” he said, “my son left home. I missed him so much. How
much more I will miss him now, but, what did it cost God to give His
Son?” It cost Him everything. As we gather to His person today, may
we give Him our heartfelt worship and love. —J. Fleming

As the angels sang from the radiant skies,
That a child, a Son was given,
What did the Father feel that day,
As He looked to earth from heaven?—J. Fleming
