1 Samuel 21:1-22:23; Isaiah 61:1-11; Romans 6:1-14
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm…I will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:15-16
The Laodicean church is a picture of the church in the last days—a picture of the church today: lukewarm; self sufficient; no urgency to “snatch people from the very gates of hell”. We might well wonder, just how much longer before we are caught up to be with the Lord? Then all opportunities to tell men and women, boys and girls about Christ, who died to save them from hell, will be gone forever. —David Croudace
Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus the Mighty to save. —Fanny Crosby
