And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth. Acts 17:26
When Charles Darwin was born 200 years ago it was considered that all men were brothers, as the biblical view was accepted that we all descended from Adam. By the time of his death he had arranged humankind into 15 separate species with the publication of his book, “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life”. To give it the full title. The Bible says there is one race, the human race.
Evolution teaches many races and thus becomes the rationale for racism. Thankfully in Christ we are all one and need to love each other deeply no matter our ethnic origin. —Paul Young
In Christ there is no east or west, in Him no south or north,
But one great fellowship of love, throughout the whole wide earth.—J. Oxenham
