If he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account. Philemon 1:18 NKJV
How reminiscent Philemon’s story is of what the Lord has done for us! Had we wronged Him? Yes! “He is despised and rejected of men” (Isa. 53:3). Did we owe Him anything? Yes! Like the unjust servant in Matthew 18:25, we owed a debt we could not pay. How has He put our debt on His account? By bearing our sins in His own body on the tree (1 Peter 2:24). How thankful we should be that even though we had wronged Him, and owed more than we could pay, our account is wiped clean! —E. V.
Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow. —Elvina M. R. Hall
