Joshua 9;:1-27 Isaiah 6:1-13; Luke 23:13-46
Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Both teaching and training are necessary in child-rearing. But there is a difference between the two. Teaching instructs a child to know what is expected of him. Teaching has to do with the mind. Training deals with the will. In this area, it is not so much what we say, but more significantly what our actions are and what we do. As parents, how are you training up your child? —Robert Gentile
I’ve a soul to be saved,
May this truth be engraved,
On my mind and my heart,
While I’m young. —Unknown
