O Lord, you are my God…a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. Isaiah 25:1,4
The Lord is our strength and our refuge, a helper in our times of trouble (Ps. 46:1). He is our solid rock. When our hearts are overwhelmed we can always run to Him. At His feet we can pour out all our sorrows (Ps. 62:8). He is like no other. The world surely cannot offer us a refuge like He does. Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Taking refuge in Him will shelter us from the storm! —L. Fraser
