DAILY?READINGS: Gen. 20-21; Job 23-24; Matt. 11:2-30

Why have I found grace in thine eyes? Ruth 2:10

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

But we see Jesus…that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9

Like Ruth before Boaz, we find ourselves at the feet of our Saviour, overcome with gratitude that He would take notice of us and come to save us, and at such a cost. He became poor. He humbled Himself. By grace He tasted death for all. Gladly let us worship Him, offering our sacrifices from astonished, grateful hearts. —Carl Knott

Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.
