DAILY READINGS: Nehemiah 8; Zechariah 4; Revelation 13

We indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.  Luke 23:41

These words from a dying thief have echoed down through the centuries and how true they are today. Three men on three crosses outside the city of Jerusalem. Two of the men deserved to be there. One certainly didn't! The Lord who was on the centre cross was sinless, spotless, pure and undefiled. He was there for your sin and mine. Hallelujah, what a Saviour! —John M. Clegg

All our sins were laid upon Him,
Jesus bore them on the tree,
God who knew them, laid them on Him,
And believing you are free. —J. Denham Smith
