Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8
Warnings abound in the Scriptures about Satan “seeking whom he may devour”. Life and death are not in his control, but to render a person useless for Christ is something that he longs to accomplish. One of the saddest things to see is a believer’s life, having so much potential, being wasted on the things of this world. Dear child of God, there is no satisfaction to be found in anything other than Jesus Christ. Love not the world neither the things that are in the world.
