Description

George Campbell was a pioneer evangelist in Newfoundland and Labrador for thirty years. Born in Vancouver, BC on February 1, 1927, he was raised in the San Francisco Bay area of California. He served in the US Marines during World War II and, after a period of searching, was born again on November 19, 1951.

In the summer of 1984, the doctors diagnosed his cancer of the pancreas and liver as inoperable. From that time until his death on March 21, 1985, he openly spoke of his approaching death and used every opportunity to challenge Christians and warn non-Christians. His family willingly and openly discussed with him their concerns and were well prepared when he went peacefully to be with the Lord.

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

This book means so much to me as I knew the author and spent some time in Newfoundland while he was there. However it would be inspiring for anyone who reads it. These are the words of a man who knows he has terminal cancer but wants to throw out a challenge to young people who will follow.

  2. Rated 5 out of 5

Truly inspiring! What a gift to read this book by my Uncle George. I will read it again and again, next time with a highlighter handy! Very heartwarming with clear messages.
