DAILY?READINGS: Leviticus 22; Psalm 128-131; Mark 8:11-26

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. Luke 7:45

The woman did what the host of the home would not do. He did not give his guest water to wash His feet; she did so with her tears. He did not anoint his guest’s head with oil; she did so with her costly ointment. He gave his guest no welcome kiss; she kissed His feet and wiped them with the hair of her head. Are you honouring the unseen guest in your home—by “distributing to the necessity of saints”; being generous in hospitality (Rom. 12:13) when they visit your house?

The silent listener to every conversation. —Author Unknown
