DAILY READINGS: Exodus 5 to 6:13; Psalms 35-36; Acts 2:1-21

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Isaiah 65:17

Isaiah’s reference to new heavens and earth speak of the wonderful conditions on earth during Christ’s millennial reign. John describes the new heaven and new earth (Rev. 21) as an eternal creation where evil is absent. One rich blessing of Christ’s kingdom is that anything not of eternal value will be lost forever; we won’t even think about such things anymore. Why? With Christ on the throne, we will be fully occupied with Him alone. May we practice today what will be the reality of a coming day. —Warren Henderson

Occupied with Thee, Lord Jesus, in Thy grace;
All Thy ways and tho’ts about me only trace;
Deeper stories of the glories of thy grace. —C. A. Wellesley
