More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fi ne gold:
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Psalm 19:10
Our Creator placed materials inside the earth for mankind’s welfare.
There is silver, gold, iron ore, copper, uranium and carbon which
crystallizes into diamonds. These rich resources become usable only
when discovered and mined. Likewise, the Scriptures contain nuggets
of truth for the enrichment of our spiritual well-being. When
we study God’s Word we’re mining its depths for treasure more precious
than gold. —E. Dyck
Thy Word is like a garden Lord, with fl owers bright and fair;
And everyone who seeks may pluck a lovely cluster there.
Thy Word is like a deep, deep mine; and jewels rich and rare;
Are hidden in its mighty depths for every searcher there. —Edwin Hodder
