There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had
spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. Joshua 21:45
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass

As the details of the book of Joshua draw to a close with the conquering
of the land basically complete, Israel is here reminded of
the faithfulness of God as stated in chapter one, “I will be with thee;
I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (vs. 5). Dear saint, the Saviour is
the same today as He was yesterday. He never fails; trust Him; rest
on Him. He abideth faithful (2 Tim. 2:13). —W. H. Gustafson
