DAILY READINGS: 1 Samuel 6-7; Isaiah 48; 2 Corinthians 9
In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel
shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah,
and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them. Jer 50:20
Our Bibles record the many, many off enses that Israel and Judah
committ ed. Human history also records our rebellious ways, in catastrophic
detail. Oh how far man has fallen short of the glory of God!
But man’s great failures simply magnify Calvary. In those three dark
hours of the Saviour’s suff ering, all of Israel’s sins, all of Judah’s sins,
all of humanity’s sins, even all of my sins were completely washed
away forever. They can be looked for, but they will not be found.
Hallelujah. Our Saviour has done all things well. —Rick Morse
Let men remember and foes accuse, my sins are remembered no more.
My Saviour has died and paid the price, they are gone, yea forevermore.
