DAILY READINGS: 2 Kgs. 14:23 to 15:31; Jer. 50:1-20; Tit. 1 to 2:8

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10

The words that come out of our mouth reveal what is in our heart.
In September of 1901, while att ending an exposition in Buff alo, New
York, without warning, an assassin took aim and fi red twice, hitting
President William McKinley in the abdomen. The last words
he spoke eight days aft er the shooting were, “Goodbye. Goodbye
to all. It is God’s will. His will, not ours, be done.” His dying words
were a testimony to his faith as he drew near to God, even into the
presence of his Saviour. What would you say if God called you into
His presence today? —Jerry Proctor

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, and it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith, and be closer drawn to Thee. —Crosby
