DAILY READINGS: 2 Chronicles 8-9; Ezekiel 33; John 12:20-50
And out of the ground made the Lord God every tree that is pleasant
to the sight . Genesis 2:9
Now why would God make this earth beautiful? Isn’t it enough
that it has the many intricate technologies for sustaining life? Isn’t
it enough that He gave us a perfect water purifi cation system? Isn’t
it enough that he gave us a perfect air purifi cation system? Isn’t it
enough that He gave us a perfectly designed food chain? And isn’t
it enough that He gave us perfect heating and cooling systems? Apparently
not. Perhaps the awe-inspiring beauty of this creation is to
prepare us for the soul-satisfying appreciation of His beauty when
we shall one day see Him! (Isaiah 33:17) —Rick Morse
O if there’s only one song I can sing, when in His beauty I see the great King
This shall my song in eternity be, O what a wonder that Jesus loves me.
