It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Lam. 3:27
Atapestry is on display in Broughton House in the Scott ish village
of Kirkcudbright. The tapestry was made in 1840 by a 9-year-old girl
who embroidered on it a simple poem she had composed: “Youth
is the time to serve the Lord; the time to ensure the great reward
and while the lamp holds out to burn, the vilest sinner may return.”
Don’t let advancing years creep up on you with unfulfi lled intentions.
If you are young, give the Lord the best of your time now.
—Brian Powlesland
Give God the best! In unreserved surrender;
Yield Him thy life in all its youthful prime,
Wait not until thy sun hath set in splendour,
And thou hast nothing but the evening time. —Author Unknown
