DAILY READINGS: Leviticus 14:33-57; Psalm 119:41-72; Mark 5:1-20
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man;
and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master
saw that the LORD was with him. Genesis 39:2-3a
Everything had gone wrong! His father thought he was dead. His
brothers sold him as a slave. A woman falsely accused him of adultery.
He was wrongly thrown into prison. The chief butler, who could
have spoken on his behalf, forgot Joseph and left him to rot in the
cells! Yet four times in this chapter we are reminded that “the Lord
was with Joseph". We have a Saviour who, despite all the problems
we may be facing today, has given us His word, “I will never leave
you nor forsake you". —David Croudace
Simply trusting every day, trusting through the stormy way;
Even when my faith is small, trusting Jesus, that is all. —E. Page
