DAILY READINGS: Gen. 41:1-49; Psalm 18:30-50; Matt. 24:1-28
He took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. Gen. 28:11b
Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head. Luke 9:58
Having rocks for pillows would not be very comfortable. Our Lord had even less comfort—no place to lay His head. Born in a manger He knew no comfort when He came into this world and He had none when He left it. Yet having experienced all that mankind can suffer, He is surely the God of all comfort.
