DAILY READINGS: Gen. 49; Psalms 28-29; Matt. 27:1-26

Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan. Joshua 3:11
The ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them. Num. 10:33b

The Ark was a symbol of God’s presence with His people. In these instances, we read of the Ark leading the way, resulting in a great demonstration of God’s power. The Lord desires to lead us in our journey, and as we allow Him, we too will experience His presence and power in our lives. In Joshua 6, as they circled Jericho, the Ark was in the centre as they marched, indicating His desired position in our lives. When He is in our midst, we will experience great unity and great victories over the enemy. —James Comte

With Jesus in our midst, we gather round the board,
Tho’ many, we are one in Christ, one body in the Lord. —R. C. Chapman
