DAILY READINGS: Nehemiah 8; Zechariah 4; Revelation 13

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18a

Come unto me…and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. Luke 14:17

Three invitations are given by the Lord personally and sent to you. The first concerns our sins, though like scarlet, they can be as white as snow. The second call is to rest. We are without peace until we find rest in Christ. The third invitation is in parable form. It’s an invitation to a great supper—God’s great salvation by His grace. All is prepared and ready for you. Don’t pass up God’s gracious invitations given in His Word. —Rex Trogdon

Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light, Jesus, I come to Thee. —W. Sleeper
