I waited patiently for the Lord… He brought me up… out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings. Psalm 40:1-2
We once lived on a dirt road which became almost impassable when soaked by rain. On one trip home, the wheels rolled up so much mud we couldn’t go any further. Sometimes we feel unable to go on spiritually. William MacDonald wrote, “There are the bogs of sickness and sorrow. We seek guidance, yet we seem to be in a dark dungeon. We sometimes founder in the morass of bereavement, loneliness or discouragement.” Prayers fall flat but we must learn to wait. In His time, He will pull us from despair and give hope to carry on. —E. Only to do Thy will, my will shall be. —Charles S. Robinson
