DAILY?READINGS: Leviticus 6:8 to 7:10; Psalm 106; Acts 28:1-16

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in Thee.    Isaiah 26:3

The apostle Paul knew what it was to endure the most stressful of conditions and was well qualified to tell us how to face them. Writing to the Philippians he said “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7). May we learn, not only to take our cares to Him, but also to leave them with Him.    —W. H. Burnett

O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear!
All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer. —Joseph Scriven
