DAILY?READINGS: Deut. 34; Hosea 6:4 to 7:16; Luke 19:1-28
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Hebrews 9:22; 10:18
When we speak of certain illnesses being in remission there is relief from the effects of the illness, with the realization that the disease may return. When it comes to our sins, remission is removal. Not only that, but there is no reminder of our sins for the sacrifice is over. The Lord declares, “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more” (Heb. 10:17). —Rex Trogdon
My sin—oh, the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to His cross and I bear it no more!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! —H. G. Spafford
