But lift up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. Exodus 14:17
The Lord, through Moses, made a passage for His people through the Red Sea. It is a lovely picture of our salvation, a passage from death to life. Some day the Lord will make a passage through the air for His people (1 Thess. 4:17), and it will result in our glorification. From beginning to end it is all His blessed work.
