Although He is omnipresent, people on earth often ignore the Lord. Some oppose Him and want Him excluded from the halls of education, government and public life in general. The church is a God-centered oasis in this spiritually calloused scene. Someday faith will give way to sight and the Lord will reign over this world from His capital in Jerusalem. Until then believers may fellowship with the King of kings as they pray and read His Word. —K. R. Keyser
