DAILY?READINGS: Gen. 40; Psalm 18:1-29; Matt. 23
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. John 14:16
The Greek word used here for “another” means another of the exact same kind—the Holy Spirit. The Spirit indwells each child of God. He takes up residency forever. He is our Helper, Anointer, Encourager, Teacher, Guide and Comforter. Our walk as a believer is a serious business. We cannot live it apart from the work of the Holy Spirit. —Bob Cretney
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready my God, Thy will to see,
Open my eyes, illumine me,
Spirit divine!
