DAILY READINGS: 2 Samuel 4:1-5:25; Micah 7:1-20; Romans 12:1-21

Behold, a woman…who was a sinner…brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Luke 7:37-38

What is the Lord seeking for? He is seeking for sinners (Luke 19:10) and He is seeking for worshipers (John 4:23). You cannot be a worshiper of God until you have come to Him as a sinner. This woman recognized her sin and it was reflected in her appreciation of the Saviour. Simon’s lack of appreciation showed that there remained a great spiritual problem in his heart. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. —Lowry
