DAILY READINGS: Numbers 21:1-35; Proverbs 18:1-24; James 2:1-26

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1
Let each esteem other better than themselves. Philippians 2:3

At the Commonwealth Observance Ceremony in London in 2016, a guest recited a poem she had composed to fit in with the theme for the service—inclusiveness. Her poem had the line in it—”There is a ‘u’ and an ‘i’ in ‘unity.'” Such a simple pithy line but what a truth— applicable to any setting where there is interaction between people. It behooves every believer to endeavour to function in harmony with others so that we bear a good testimony for the Lord. —Brian Powlesland

As sweet strains of heav’nly music, blend in one harmonious sound,
So the members of Christ’s body, in blest unity are found. —C. M. Brooks
