DAILY READINGS: Deut. 29:1-29; Amos 7:1-8:14; Luke 15:11-32

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am. John 17:24

Our Saviour requested of the Father that we would be with Him in heaven one day. He knew full well what He was asking and what He would have to do to enable that prayer to be answered. He knew we were guilty sinners that needed a Saviour and only He could be the sacrifice that would redeem us. We are not in glory yet, so this prayer has not yet been answered but any day now it will. Do we share His strong desire to see the day? —Ken Gross

Face to face—what will it be,
Jesus Christ who died for me? —Carrie Breck

DAILY READINGS: Deut. 29:1-29; Amos 7:1-8:14; Luke 15:11-32

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. Ephesians 1:7

As I sat donating blood, I thought of Christ’s blood shed at Calvary. He is God’s Son and His blood has infinite, eternal value. My blood can temporarily assist one physical life. But alone, Christ’s blood can give eternal life to all who believe. Saving us from judgment—through His blood—God delivers us from sin’s captivity, forgives our debt, and sets us free. What power, grace and peace! Have you received eternal life from the One who gave His life? —George Ferrier

Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow? There’s power in
the blood, power in the blood; Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving
flow, There’s wonderful power in the blood. —Lewis E. Jones
