DAILY READINGS: 1 Samuel 17:1-31; Isaiah 56:9-57:21; Romans 3:1-31

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52

One day the Lord will descend to the air and shout, the archangel shall speak, and a trumpet will sound—resurrecting the dead in Christ, glorifying the living saints, He will receive us to Himself, all this occurring in an estimated 1/6 of a billionth of a second. We may be working, studying, or fellowshipping together and suddenly we will be looking in the face of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a powerful motivation to be about His business. One day. Perhaps today. —George Ferrier

It may be, perchance, that the blackness of midnight, Will burst into light
in the blaze of His glory when Jesus receives His own. —H. L. Turner
