1 Chronicles 28:1-21; Ezekiel 24:1-25:17; John 9:1-17

And if thy hand offend thee, cut if off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched. Mark 9:43

The story appeared in the Echoes magazine of a man who burned his hand while cooking his dinner. He felt the pain and into his mind came a vision of hell and of how much worse that would be than a burned hand! As a result he came to the Lord. What a glorious blessing and it reminds us that we cannot limit how God works. Jesus made it clear that hell is a reality but He came to deliver us from such a dreadful destiny. As we trust Him we can rejoice that Heaven is our eternal home. —Paul Young

When with the ransomed in glory, His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages, to sing of His love for me. —Charles H. Gabriel
