Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. 1 Peter 3:21-22
We often worry about what is happening in the world around us. Governments change, sin is legislated for, corrupt people get into high office. Things seem to be out of control. Thank God for the Scripture above. Our Saviour reigns over everything. Nothing happens without Him allowing it. Even the angels are sent forth (by Him) to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Heb. 1:14). In the midst of today’s trials, hear anew our Lord Jesus say, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest” (Matt. 11:28). —C. T. Watson
Simply trusting every day, trusting through a stormy way,
Even when my faith is small, trusting Jesus, that is all. —E. P. Stites
