Genesis 39:1-23; Psalm 17:1-15; Matthew 22:15-46

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 NKJV

What the world needs most today is the love and hope found in Christ. This verse speaks of these two qualities in relation to the spiritual armour we Christians are to put on every day (see Eph. 6:12-18). When we display these two precious traits, people around us will be drawn to the Saviour. “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15). —Annette Baal

My hope is built on nothing less,
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.  —Edward Mote
