Deuteronomy 28:38-68; Amos 5:1-6:14; Luke 14:25-15:10
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 NKJV
Today, as we turn our eyes upon Jesus, may we remember who He is, what He did, and where He is now. He is Jesus. The One who bears the name that is above every name is “the author” (Pioneer) and “finisher” (Perfecter) of faith. He endured all the suffering of pain and shame of the cross for us. Look, He is now seated at God’s right hand. —Rex Trogdon
Rise, my soul! Behold ‘tis Jesus, Jesus fills thy wond’ring eyes;
See Him now in glory seated, where thy sins no more can rise. —J. Denham Smith
