Judges 2:6-3:4; Isaiah 22:15-23:18; 1 Corinthians 2:1-16

And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel (Ahab). 1 Kings 22:34

Was this just a lucky shot? No! In God’s work there is no such thing as luck—good or bad. That arrow was directed by God to bring judgment on the man who had troubled Israel for 22 years. When I hand the control of my life over to the Lord I don’t need to depend upon “luck” but rather on the One who directs my every step day and night. God says, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Ps. 32:8).  —David Croudace

I know who holds the future, and He’ll guide me with His hand
With God things don’t just happen; everything by Him is planned.
So as I face tomorrow, with its problems large and small,
I’ll trust the God of miracles, give to Him my all. —E. L. Clark
