1 Samuel 8:1-9:14; Isaiah 49:1-26; 2 Corinthians 10:1-18

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18

The heading in my Bible says this chapter is about daily living. “I the Lord thy God” (Isa. 41:13) or the expression “I am the Lord” is repeated sixteen times through the chapter. Does this not emphasize who we should focus our lives on each day? The Lord Jesus Christ should have the preeminence in all aspects of our daily lives and we should desire to glorify Him constantly, for He is Lord. —M. Robins

To glorify Thee, this is my plea;
Work out Thy purpose, Thy plan for me,
A yielded vessel, Thine own to be,
Thy praise and glory, to live for Thee.  —Astrid H. Nelson
