1 Kings 20:1-43; Jeremiah 32:1-25; Hebrews 3:1-19

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

Were these men of wealth and education with infatuated followers? No, they were ordinary men, whose defining features: their speech, boldness and conduct marked them as men who had been with Jesus! Oh, that our lives would emulate such ones! That others would perceive from our dialogue, our actions and way of life, the reflection of Christ’s image and the fragrance of His presence. In all we say and do may we live to point others to Christ. —Deborah Manera
